Medicine ball uses have been recorded as far back as 1,000-2,000 years B.C. depending on the research. Drawings from Ancient Greece depict the ball being used for rehabilitation and conditioning. Medicine balls range from 2 to 25 pounds (0.9 to 11 kg), and are a great tool for people just beginning their fitness challenge.
